YOUR FUTURE. OUR PASSION.
How Does GPS Work?
The Gales Pathways to STEM program is a 4-year comprehensive STEM course of study. Students apply to the program during their 8th grade year. An admissions committee then evaluates each candidate's application, along with teacher recommendations and personal interviews, in order to determine which students are accepted. A limited number of students are accepted each year, and admissions is HIGHLY COMPETITIVE. |
What is STEM?
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, but it is more than an acronym. While originally designed to encourage students to pursue careers in these areas, STEM education has evolved into a unique approach to teaching and learning that fosters creativity and innovative thinking in all students. |
The Lancaster High School GPS program is made possible through a partnership with the Fairfield County Educational Service Center, the PAST Foundation, & the Project FAST design team process.
